This morning I was privy to 7 Mourning Doves eating breakfast at my bird house ! How blessed Dove Medicine…ohhh the sound of a mourning dove is always such a welcome to my heart as it is a reminder of connecting within! Peace, love, hope, maternity n the holiest of spirit all come to mind! As they are pigeons they are connected to the home and family! Those with this medicine may only have small broods of 2 or less children! However have extended family that they feel much love for! So being with family will be very important to them, in fact often very centring! The Dove is a symbol of spirituality too and will remind us to be kind and gentle with others.

 

Especially as it represents the goddess of many it associates itself to mothers and fertility! Those with it are often fantastic moms! We most often see and hear them at dusk n dawn, presenting themselves when the veils between the underworld n this world are thinnest. Another reminder of our connection to spirit when in need of consultation, to go to the original source for answers and to trust in our instincts! As well when feeling worried about something to step into the silence and to be still long enough to hear/feel the solution to those problems!

 

The Dove promises peacefulness once this is done! Lastly it is a reminder to eat as they do, many seeds, fruit and grains will be a healthy nutritional plan that will strengthen the body, mind and spirit!
