Sofeya and the Puffins
Coming to PaganFest!
We are pleased to welcome to PaganFest 2018 the wonderful band Sofeya and the Puffins! They will be playing on Sunday, July 22nd @ 7:30.
Sofeya and the Puffins combine lyrics and soulful harmonies with unusual instruments. The strings of the uke, violin, percussion, bass, piano, and guitaur form their instrumental band. Guitar bloom genres ranging from gypsy punk rock, swinging blues, world beat ballads, indie folk, and contemporary spiritual make up their genre and unique music style. This combination in their performance at PaganFest will be magical and something you will not want to miss!
Meet the Band
Cynthia Beatty, aka Sofeya Puffins is singer, song writer, ukulele, guitar, keys, ocarina, percussion for the puffins. Sofeya organized the puffins after being gifted a guitar and began to write songs and music. She is a mother of three
Joseph Osborne is a violinist and song writer. He is transitioning to musical theater from his antique piano restoration business. He has been playing instruments for as long as he can remember.
Candice Blake is singer, song writer, keys, guitar. Candice has won many awards, teaches music to adults and children, and went to a prestigious school in NY.
Pedro Atonetty does hand drum percussion. Pedro is bilingual and works in social services during the day.
Music
They have been performing gigs since 2016. They have two official project albums; the first being called Clowns of the Sea, which is their premier album, with whimsical folk feels, bluegrass, jazz, and world beat. It was done in June of 2014. The second being Genetic Confetti, an evolution of soulful songs with the harmonies of Cynthia Beatty, David Gill, and Jamal Sawab. It was made in June of 2015.
