Medicinal Uses: Cinnamon has similar properties to clove. It is said to have the ability to eliminate melancholy to provoke pleasant memory as well as stimulating brain function. In medicine it was used to enhance digestion, prevent nausea, treat coughs and generally for health problems of the respiratory (and the circulatory) system.  It is still used in medicine in many health conditions and is considered an aphrodisiac. It is known to be antifungal, antiseptic, haemostatic (stops bleeding), antispasmodic. Used for colds and flu when chills and shivering is present. Also has a history of use for treating kidney weakness, muscle and rheumatic pains and cramps.
