Ivana Kupala

Come and join us for an ancient Slavic celebration Ivana Kupala. Adorned with wreaths, fire and water this tradition comes to you from Ukraine, Belarus, Poland and Russia. It happens even 6/7 July on the Gregorian Calender (23/24 July Julian Calender).

 

 

You shall see the Sasha Zak lead the khovorod dance which follows the lighting up of the wreath and its release in the water to start of the night. Later that night after fire spinning, people can jump over the little fire to end the night.
